Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat on Saturday said that he will be meeting Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and (NCP SP) leader Sharad Pawar to discuss certain issues.
The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Chandra Pawar) on Saturday announced its second list of 22 candidates for the Assembly elections in Maharashtra scheduled for November 20.
The MVA alliance revealed its seat-sharing arrangement for 255 constituencies, assigning 85 seats to each party. The remaining 23 seats in the state Assembly will be allocated based on their respective party candidate lists.
Maharashtra Congress incharge Ramesh Chennithala said that all is well in the oppostion alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and said that the problem is in the ruling Mahayuti.
Notably, the MVA is still facing the heat from one of its allies, the Samajwadi Party, who is demanding more seats from the alliance to contest in the polls.
"I have announced five seats. They should give these five seats to me. I will wait because I don't want votes to be divided. We don't want to create a rift in the MVA for the sake of votes," Azmi said.
