"These parties will conspire against each other": Sanjay Nirupam's swipe at MVA

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 24 (ANI): Ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections, Shinde Sena faction leader Sanjay Nirupam on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Uddhav Thackeray, taking a dig at them, saying that Uddhav's Shiv Sena was struggling to secure seats in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance.
Nirupam went on to say that Thackeray, who once boasted of hitting a century, now had to fight for every single seat in the alliance.

The ongoing battle over seat distribution within the MVA - consisting of Congress, Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena, and Sharad Pawar's NCP faction - is becoming intense. Nirupam referred to this turmoil as a 'trailer' of what's to come, noting that the public witnessed the beginnings of this power struggle on Wednesday evening. According to him, a conspiracy is unfolding among the three parties regarding the allocation of seats.

"We don't need to make any effort to weaken the three parties of the Maha Vikas Aghadi. These parties will conspire against each other on their own, and each will try its best to ensure that the other two parties get as few seats as possible from the 85 seats allocated to their quota. As a result, all the parties will end up with a combined total of less than 100 seats. We don't need to do anything, as they are already working against each other and will continue to do so in the future," Nirupam said while addressing a press conference.
"The number of seats the Maha Vikas Aghadi will never be enough to bring them to power; instead, they will have to sit in the opposition, where they will only secure the position of Leader of the Opposition. On the other hand, our Mahayuti alliance is returning to power with full strength. In this grand battle, the BJP is the largest party, and it is getting seats accordingly. At the same time, the BJP is treating its two allied parties with full respect and moving forward together. All our discussions are taking place in a very cordial manner, with no disagreements or conflicts. No one is conspiring against anyone, and the entire seat-sharing process is being conducted in a friendly atmosphere," he added.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are scheduled for November 20, with counting for all 288 constituencies set for November 23.

In the 2019 assembly elections, the BJP won 105 seats, the Shiv Sena 56, and the Congress 44. In 2014, the BJP secured 122 seats, the Shiv Sena 63, and the Congress 42. (ANI)
