Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], October 24 (ANI): Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Thursday exuded confidence over Maha Vikas Aghadi's victory in the upcoming elections in Maharashtra.
Thackeray is an incumbent MLA from the Worli legislative assembly constituency and former guardian minister of the Mumbai suburban district.
After filing his nominations from the Worli seat, Aaditya Thackeray, while speaking to ANI said, "With the love of the people and the support from my party I have filed my nomination today. MVA will win in Maharashtra this is the hope that we have"
Earlier today, Shiv Sena (UBT) faction leader Aditya Thackeray held a road show and offered his prayers at a temple before filing his nomination from the Worli assembly constituency on Thursday.

After he offered his prayers at a temple, he spoke about filing his nomination to contest for the Worli constituency, he said, "I will be filing the nomination today, I have come to seek blessings before that."

He further said that he will seek to eradicate unemployment and stop the 'loot of Maharashtra.'

"My goal is to eradicate unemployment, Maharashtra is being looted, I want to remove that, that will be the goal if I get elected," he told reporters outside the temple.

During his road show Aditya Thackeray exuded confidence in winning the Worli seat once again.

"I am very confident that the people will bless me because we are about to form government in Maharashtra and that is for sure. As you can see, this atmosphere is very good, you can see the love people are giving me, and with this I will be filing me nomination," he told ANI.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi claimed that Aaditya Thackeray will win the second term with a "historic margin" as he filed his nomination from Worli for the Maharashtra assembly polls.

"The atmosphere is very festive. It is euphoric. He (Aaditya Thackeray) will win the second term with a historic margin. Last time he won, he got over 70,000 votes. This time he will cross that number as well," said Chaturvedi who accompanied Thackeray on a roadshow.

Chaturvedi lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that only "lies" are being spread about the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance and people will remember the use of enforcement directorate (ED) and other central investigative agencies against the opposition.

"In these five years, Maharashtra has seen the worst kind of politics, where ED, CBI, IT, and everything was used (against opposition). Maharashtra State Treasury has been looted. Only lies are being spread. Two political parties have been broken. So, all of that is in the minds of people. The people had voted for Maha Vikas Aghadi in Lok Sabha, I continue to say that this is the trailer, and the blockbuster movie of Maha Vikas will be released, produced by the people of Maharashtra and the will of Maharashtra and we will form the Government after 23rd November," the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader said.

The nomination process for the 288 seats in the assembly has started and the polling will happen on November 20 with the results to be declared on November 23.

In the 2019 assembly elections in Maharashtra, the BJP won 105 seats, Shiv Sena secured 56, and Congress won 44 seats. (ANI)
