Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday dismissed Prime Minister Modi's comments on 'One Nation, One Election,' saying that the initiative is impossible without consensus in Parliament.

"In the last 10 years, your government has celebrated "Constitution Murder Day" every day. You have snatched away the self-respect of every poor and deprived section of the country every moment," Kharge said in a post on 'X' on Friday.
"Under Rule 267 we are demanding a special discussion on it in the House, and after that, we will state our demands," Kharge said speaking to reporters on Friday.
"The RSS-BJP has targeted the reservation of Dalits, tribals and backward classes. Many top leaders of RSS-BJP have talked about ending reservation," Kharge said in a post on 'X'
"At the preliminary level, our team will first meet every leader; they will ask our leaders--those who are PCC presidents, CLP leaders, or senior leaders in every state. After observing these and getting a perception, we will sit together and discuss our demands," the Congress chief said.
