India Metrological Department on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms over several parts of the country during the next three hours.
Moderate thunderstorm with gusty wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph and lightning and light to moderate rain are likely to affect some parts of districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Koraput, Rayagada, Kandhamal within next three hours, said a release issued by the India Meteorological Department at
"In the next 2-3 hours, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places in Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan along with thunderstorm, lightning and hailstorm at one or two places," said the Weather Department.

"Thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of Narwana, Fatehabad, Barwala, Adampur, Hissar (Haryana) Bhadra (Rajasthan) during the next 2 hours," IMD said on X.
