Nine people were killed after a gas cylinder exploded in a five-story residential building in settlement of Tymovskoye on Russia's Far Eastern Sakhalin Island on Saturday. The explosion took place at around 5:03 a.m. Moscow time and the incident involved four children among nine deceased.
According to official sources, a team of Delhi Police reached Aftab's flat in Chattarpur area of Delhi and seized clothes belonging to both the accused and the deceased as part of its investigation into the horrific murder.
Delhi Police last week solved the six-month-old blind murder case, and arrested Aftab Amin Poonawalla on the basis of the deceased's father's complaint.
The father of the deceased, Vikas Madan Walker, said that Shraddha considered Aftab a right man, which is why she did not listen to his advice of not being in a relationship with him.
The last rites of the deceased colonel will take place at his native place- Ghanau Sadulpur village in the district Churu of Rajasthan's Jaipur on Friday.
The Prime Minister's office (PMO) tweeted, "My thoughts are with those who lost their loved ones due to the tragic stone quarry collapse in Mizoram. An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh would be given from PMNRF to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000."
The Home Minister assured the families that the government stands with them in the hour of grief and said that steps will be taken to ensure that one of the family members of the deceased gets a government job.
The three deceased, who were football players, were fatally shot on the University of Virginia campus on Sunday night, The New York Times reported. A suspect was later detained on Monday.
