The deceased mother, identified as Kasturi, was a resident of Bharatinagar in Tumakuru and used to live with her six-year-old daughter. She was allegedly denied treatment at the Tumakuru District Hospital in Karnataka on the grounds that she did not have the "mother health card".
According to the Prime Minister's Office, PM Modi announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased persons and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
The enforcement authority had initiated a money laundering investigation on the basis of an FIR registered by Police Station Chaubeypur, Kanpur Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
An ex-gratia amount will be given to the kins of the deceased in the Morbi tragedy. The families of the dead will also receive Rs 2 lakhs from PMNRF. The injured persons will also receive Rs 50,000.

Coimbatore police is looking into the car blast case from a "terror angle" after recovering several incriminating materials from the premises of the deceased person.
The bodies were found lying a little away from Badli station towards Holambi. The deceased were were identified as Mohd Hafiz, Mohd Shahrukh (both are relatives) and Riyazul. All of them are in the age bracket ranging from 19 to 21 years.
