Congress leader Alka Lamba on Saturday accused Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of fighting elections with the sole aim of getting power again and said her party was connected to people and was raising their issues.
As the battle for Delhi Assembly polls seat heats up, Congress candidate Alka Lamba on Thursday launched a scathing attack on AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate Atishi, claiming they are losing the elections.
Congress candidate from the Kalkaji Assembly constituency, Alka Lamba, on Wednesday criticized BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri over his purported derogatory remarks and asserted that the people of Kalkaji would not support such statements.
She said that people have witnessed the governance for a decade and they have compared the works done under former Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and others who followed. People will vote for Congress this time, Lamba added.
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Monday exuded confidence of the Bharatiya Janata Party's victory in the upcoming Delhi assembly election, saying that a change is visible in Delhi.
"The CM'S residence is temporary and to what extent is it fair to spend Rs 33 crore of the taxpayers money on it, as reflected by the CAG report. The money that had to be spent on treating the air pollution, water supplies and inflation were spent somewhere else..." she further added.
Congress leader, Alka Lamba slammed the use of derogatory language against women, calling it "low-level politics" over Bidhuri's remark against Delhi CM Atishi.
Lamba, who has been fielded against CM Atishi from Kalkaji constituency, pointed out that the said amount was spent on items like carpets, curtains, luxurious toilets, and even a swimming pool.
"Congress is a 140-year-old party, we have been in power and also been in the opposition. If flyovers were not made by Sheila Dikshit, there would have been jams everywhere in Delhi. The elderly and children are breathing poisonous air. An epidemic is going to happen...We have the roadmap
