Guwahati (Assam)/ Durgapur (West Bengal), Oct 26 (ANI): Several women participated in 'Sindur Khela' ceremony on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami. The event took place at a pandal in Assam's Guwahati on October 26. Vijayadashami marks the day when devotees bid adieu to Goddess Durga. Bengali community immerses the clay idol of the goddess on this day with a heavy heart. On the other side, married women celebrated 'Sindur Khela' in West Bengal's Durgapur ahead of Durga Visarjan ceremony. 'Sindur Khela' is a Bengali Hindu tradition where women smear each other with vermilion on the last day of Durga Puja.
