IFAT’s ‘Selfie with Seat Belt’ challenge aims to promote responsible driving

Hyderabad (Telangana), Mar 04 (ANI): Social media has always been a platform to promote various causes either for entertainment or for social awareness. Similarly, Indian Federation of App Based Transport (IFAT) has used the social media to start a challenge which is ‘#SelfiewithSeatBelt.’ IFAT’s initiative comes after increasing cases of road accidents. In no time, challenge garnered attention of netizens. This challenge aims to create awareness among public about the benefits of buckling up of seat belt not only to the drivers but also to the passengers in the vehicles. This challenge was initially launched in the year 2016 but was only limited to the drivers of the vehicles.
