Winter rains to benefit wheat production in Punjab

Ambala (Punjab), Jan 04 (ANI): Harsh winters have tightened its grip over northern India. Followed by dense fog and rainfall, it has become difficult for people to step out. But these winters have put awe on the faces of the farmers who are irrigating their crops in the fields. According to farmers, rain and haze will prove to be very beneficial for the wheat crop. One of the farmers said, “Rainfall and fog, both are benefitting for the crops. The more the cold and the rain, the more the farmers will be happy because the cold will meet the water requirement of the crop and its yield will be good.”
