Winter clothing items in great demand amid freezing Srinagar weather

Srinagar (J&K), Jan 15 (ANI): Continuous snowfall and rains in several parts of Jammu and Kashmir have escalated the demand of warm clothes. Srinagar’s Dal Lake also froze on Thursday as the city recorded coldest night since 1991. With severe cold wave throwing the normal life out of gear, people in the valley are keeping hosiery shopkeepers busy by getting new jackets, sweaters, caps and other winter clothes. Bashir Ahmad, a shopkeeper in the city said winter items like caps, mufflers and gloves are in great demand because these are essentials in the winters.
