‘We are sorry’: Chennai school lights 2500 candles over death of pregnant elephant

Chennai, Jun 06 (ANI): The Everwin School in Chennai paid tribute to Kerala’s pregnant elephant which died after it was allegedly fed pineapple filled with firecrackers, by lighting around 2500 candles in a life-size shape of the tusker. The tribute had a caption of ‘WE ARE SORRY’ written under the elephant’s image, highlighting the apathy showed to the now-dead pregnant tusker in Malappuram.
