Water sports athletes practice in half-frozen Dal Lake for national championship

Srinagar, Feb 06 (ANI): When wintery winds are shivering people, water sports coaching camp is on full swing at Srinagar's Dal Lake. The main aim of this camp is to churn out and prepare energetic players for the national championship which will be held in Bhopal on 20th February. The gravity of triumphing the championship is so high that athletes are brushing up their skills in half frozen Dal Lake. This year, Kashmir valley received heavy snowfall with temperature still in minus which results in the maximum portion of lake still freezing. This coaching is going on under the supervision of renowned international water sports Coach Bilques Mir. The participants are working hard and trying to learn all the techniques of canoeing and kayaking aimed to get a gold medal at national level. The dedication of these athletes is appreciable as they are preparing themselves marking the gold medal in the championship.
