Chennai. July 24 (ANI): Members of the transgender community on July 23 performed Kolattam folk dance in slum areas of Chennai, Tamil Nadu to raise awareness about COVID-19. The transgenders, who performed the dance, were from Sahodaran, an organisation that works for the LGBT community. Sahodaran organised the event in collaboration with Greater Chennai Corporation. Sahodaran organisation has been organising several COVID-19 awareness programs in Chennai city with Greater Chennai Corporation. Tamil Nadu has recorded over 51,764 active cases and over 3,143 deaths due to COVID-19 till now.
