Madurai (TN), Jan 14 (ANI): Bull tamers on January 14 raised slogans against farm laws amid Jallikattu event in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai. The bull tamers also showed black flag against Centre. They were later detained by the police. Farmers of different states are protesting against Centre’s newly enacted farm laws. Today is the first day of Jallikattu and the events are oganised in several places of Tamil Nadu. Pongal celebrations have also begun and people dressed up in their traditional attire and prepared sweet dish known as Pongal.
