U’khand tragedy: Dewatering process underway in Tapovan, toll reaches 67

Chamoli (Uttarakhand), Feb 21 (ANI): Search operation and dewatering process continues in the Tapovan barrage area and tunnel respectively, in Chamoli district. So far, a total of 67 bodies have been recovered. Meanwhile, State Disaster Response Force dropped Quick Deployable Antenna (QDA) system for communication near the lake formed in the upper reaches of Chamoli district. Researchers continue to inspect the lake. On Feb 07, a massive flood following glacier burst in Tapovan led to loss of lives and major damages to properties.
