Udhampur gets medical equipments under World Bank-funded project

Udhampur (J&K), Feb 14 (ANI): With an aim to bolster the healthcare sector in Udhampur, World Bank-funded project under Contingency Emergency Response Component (CERC) would strengthen healthcare to reduce unnecessary referrals. Under the project, vital medical equipments include dialysis units, ventilators, fully equipped new operation theatres . Dr Vijay Raina, Udhampur district hospital superintendent said, “World Bank-funded equipments have been received in District Hospital Udhampur and their installation process is going on. These equipments include numerous operation tables, syringe pumps, oxygen concentrator, x-ray machine, CRM, ultrasonic coagulation unit, high-tech beds, have been received by hospital. Dialysis ward is being seen as a major boost where dozens of people receive free dialysis treatment under PM National dialysis scheme. Dr Vijay thanked the Government of India , World bank as well as Lieutenant General Manoj Sinha for facilitating equipments Locals also appreciated the development in the city.
