Tripura’s CPI (M), trade farmer unions protest against Budget 21-22

Agartala (Tripura), Feb 2 (ANI): Members of various trade and farmer unions affiliated with the CPI(M) including Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) and All India Agricultural Workers Union (AIAWU) took to the streets in Agartala to protest against the Union Budget terming it as ‘pro-corporate budget’. The protestors demanded for scrapping of the farms laws, Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2020 and changes brought in labour laws. Sankar Prasad Datta, Secretary of CITU said that the union government in the budget did not take any decision regarding providing jobs to the migrant workers who lost their job during the pandemic.
