Tripura launches online workshop to empower teachers with life skills

Agartala (Tripura), Feb 09, (ANI): An online workshop on ‘Empowering Teachers with Life Skills’ was virtually inaugurated at New Secretariat Building in Agartala on Feb 9. The workshop was organized by Tripura Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS) under the Tribal Welfare Department in collaboration with ‘Dream a Dream’ organization, Bangalore. The program aims to train more than 100 teachers under TTWREIS on life skills, happiness curriculum, creativity in the classroom, highly engaged classrooms no bags day among others. At present, 4 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMR), 1 Eklavya Model Day Boarding Schools (EMDBS), and three Ashram Schools run by the Tribal Welfare Department of Tripura are being funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. “These will not only improve the quality of education but also help in preparing the students to face and cope up with various challenges in life”, said Tanusree Deb Barma, secretary to the government of Tripura.
