‘Tandav’ in hot water for allegedly hurting Hindu sentiments

Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Jan 18 (ANI): Soon after its release, Saif Ali Khan starrer political drama ‘Tandav’ landed in major controversial trouble. Several FIRs have been filed against the cast and crew of the web-series across the country for allegedly hurting and mocking Hindu religious sentiments. On Jan 18, a lawyer filed a criminal complaint in a court against the web-series in Muzaffarpur against 96 people including Saif Ali Khan and Dimple Kapadia. He said, "Tandav has been made with an intention to hurt religious sentiments and spread caste-based discrimination." Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, ‘Tandav’ stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and Sunil Grover among others in prominent roles. The web-series focused on political drama and was released on OTT platform Amazon Prime on January 14.
