Surat-based digital firm declares ‘period leaves’ for its female staff

Surat (Gujarat), Aug 14 (ANI): A digital marketing firm in Gujarat’s Surat has announced 12 days of period leaves per year for its female employees with immediate effect. Bhautik Sheth, founder of iVIPANAN brought the change soon after he heard Zomato’s move to grant leave. “We are a 9 member team with 8 females. We have made a policy that a paid leave will be given per month in view of female menstrual cycle. We have also given them to flexibility to take 2 leaves, if needed,” said the founder. Step has been taken by the firm to ease the discomfort caused during menstrual cycle to women. Female employees of the firm appreciated the move.
