Sufi shrine ‘Ajmer Sharif Dargah’ reopens for devotees

Ajmer (Rajasthan), Sep 07 (ANI): Ajmer Sharif Dargah reopened for devotees amid coronavirus pandemic on September 07. Ajmer Sharif is a sufi shrine of Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. People from every religion come here to seek blessings. The shrine was closed from mid-March after the outbreak of coronavirus. Separate arrangements have been made for devotees to offer flowers and ‘chaadar’ in the premises. Use of sanitisers and face masks has been made mandatory. It is considered among the holiest Muslim shrines in India. Rajasthan government has allowed religious places to reopen from September 07 and asked them to adhere to social distancing and other COVID-19 protocols. The decision to reopen the Dargah was taken after guidelines of Unlock 4 were issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
