Strict checking underway in Guwahati as COVID-19 lockdown enters day 2

Guwahati (Assam), Jun 29 (ANI): With COVID-19 cases almost touching the 7,000 mark in Assam, state government announced to extend the lockdown further. Complete lockdown will be enforced in Guwahati city from 7 PM of June 28 for 14 days. Irrespective of light showers of rain in the city, police was seen doing strict checking on June 29. Markets remained closed in the city after the lockdown extension.
