State govt is committed for social, educational & economic development of tribal regions: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) Dec 17 (ANI) : State government is committed to the social and economic upliftment of the tribal area through education along with preserving the traditions and culture of the region. Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot maintained that while virtually addressing the inauguration ceremony of Maharishi Valmiki Bhawan, Examination and Research Section at Govind Guru Tribal University, Banswara.The Chief Minister also announced to set up an IT-based modern library at the Engineering College in Banswara, in order to provide opportunities for students of tribal areas to study through technology.He said that it is pleasant that in such a short period of time, about 150 colleges have become affiliated with this university and nearly 1 lakh 50 thousand students are getting higher education through it. Also, around 250 researchers are registered here.The CM emphasised that it is our endeavour that with the expansion of various disciplines in this university, students should get quality education here.He underlined that it is the ambition of the state government to establish a medical college in every district of the state. The tribal area will also get its benefits and the medical infrastructure will be strengthened in this area.
