Jaipur (Rajasthan) October 13 (ANI):The state government is committed to sensitive, accountable and transparent governance, working in accordance with the sentiments of the common people and the intention of public rights activists. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot resolved this in a national webinar organized on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 in the country. CM said that the 'Public Information Portal' set up in compliance with the Right to Information Act is a step taken in this direction. In the coming days, such a system will be implemented through this that people do not need to apply for information from any department. The Chief Minister said that information portals are also being prepared in Maharashtra and Karnataka on the lines of Public Information Portal of Rajasthan. The officials of these states are in touch with the officials of Rajasthan for this. CM also underlined that in his previous tenure for accountable administration in the state, the government had implemented laws like the Rajasthan Guaranteed Delivery of Public Services Act, 2011, Right to Hearing Act, 2012 and the Rajasthan Transparency in Public Procurement Act, 2012. The country's first Chief Central Information Commissioner, Wajahat Habibullah said that through the Public Information Portal launched by the Rajasthan government, the RTI Act can truly become the right of every person.
