Srinagar comes alive with cultural music amid winter season

Srinagar (Jammu), Jan 25 (ANI): To boost the cultural and traditional music in Kashmir, a cultural program was organised in Srinagar on January 25. The event was the first of its kind organised by the Actors Creative Theatre (ACT) in collaboration with the J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages (JKAACL). Despite the cold winter season, various singers and artists from across Jammu and Kashmir region enthralled the audience with their melodious cultural performances. Apart from the cultural performances, traditional Kashmiri folk dance “ROUF”, Punjabi ‘Banghda’, Qawali including the famous song 'Bumbro Bumbro' from Hindi movie 'Mission Kashmir' were some of the major highlights in the event.Due to the Covid-19 pandemic crisis, the government cancelled cultural and traditional activities in the valley for more than a year.
