'Situation very tense', say locals in Bihar's Sitamarhi after firing by Nepal security forces

Sitamarhi (Bihar), June 16 (ANI): Residents of Lalbandi village in Sitamarhi on the Indo-Nepal border said they are in a state of shock after an Indian was killed in firing by Nepal’s security forces. Speaking to ANI, a villager said, "Situation is very tense in our village, people are fearing what might happen in future.” Another villager said, “We are very scared since the firing took place.” The unprecedented incident of firing on Indians has left the residents of Jankinagar, Lalbandi and several villages near the border in a state of fear. On June 12, Nepal Border Police started firing in which 1 person got killed while 2 got injured. SSB DG had called this a local issue.
