Ludhiana (Punjab), Aug 24 (ANI): The odd-even formula for opening of shops in Ludhiana on weekdays began from August 24. Police marked shops with numbers to maintain a systematic track. Rational behind odd-even is to avoid crowd amid coronavirus situation. A fine of Rs 5,000 will be imposed on the violators. A police official said, “Today shop number 2 will open and 1 will remain close. And tomorrow shop number 1 will open and 2 will remain close.”
