Shivamogga Dynamite Blast: ‘Negligence by quarry owner and operators,’ says Karnataka HM

Bengaluru, Jan 22 (ANI): Following the Shivamogga dynamite blast mishap, Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj S Bommai informed that there was negligence by quarry owner and operators, and they have been arrested for further questioning. “At outset it seems lot of quantity of dynamite has exploded there and there's been some negligence by the quarry owner and the operators. Police have already arrested the quarry owner and the dynamite supplier. Probe is on,” said Home Minister of Karnataka. He added, “Police and District Administration are taking care of rescue operations. Compensation and other such factors will be decided by the CM. Preliminary information says there're 7 deaths.” Casualties were reported in dynamite blast at railway crusher site in Hunasodu village last night.
