This semi-organic farm is making Manipur self-reliant for vegetable needs

Imphal (Manipur), Sep 07 (ANI): A semi-organic farm has cultivated vegetables on a 10- hectare land in Manipur’s Imphal. Four persons – Dr M Thoithoi Singh, RK Doren, Lukhoi and Loken – have come up together and formed ‘Manipur Farm’. Their aim is to make Manipur self-reliant for vegetables. Earlier, the 10-hectare land was lying vacant for years at Waitin village in Imphal. The Manipur Farm was started in 2018 and it aims to make Manipur a vegetable exporter state in India. They began this farm by using new modern technologies. Manipur Farm has been providing vegetables amid coronavirus pandemic to the public through their mobile sales units. Speaking to ANI, the advisor of Manipur Farm, Dr M Thoithoi Singh said, “We started the farm in 2018 and aim to make Manipur a vegetable exporter state.”
