Guwahati (Assam), Feb 16 (ANI): Along with the rest of the other states, Saraswati Puja or Basant Panchami was celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout Assam on Feb 16. The idols of Goddess Saraswati are being worshipped in school and college campuses in Guwahati. While observing the COVID-19 protocols, Assam’s Handique Girls' College students were seen offering special prayers. Saraswati Puja symbolises the beginning of the spring season. On this day, Goddess Saraswati - the Goddess of knowledge, music is worshipped by the Hindus.
