New Delhi, July 22 (ANI): Supreme Court started hearing an appeal filed by Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi, against Rajasthan High Court order to defer anti-defection proceedings against former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and 18 breakaway Congress MLAs till July 24.Senior advocate Kapil Sibal appeared for Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi. He argued, “Court can’t direct Speaker and Rajasthan HC was wrong in issuing a direction to the Speaker. This is against settled law on this point”. “The court can’t direct the Speaker to extend the time to file their replies to the anti-defection notices. It’s not in the jurisdiction of the court,” Kapil Sibal said.
