Rajasthan CM instructs to conduct university exams from July amid COVID-19

Jaipur (Rajasthan), June 4 (ANI): The Rajsathan government has decided to start examinations of various universities, their affiliated colleges, technical universities and polytechnic colleges in the second week of July. The exams were postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The decision was taken in a meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot with officials of higher education and technical education In the meeting, Chief Minister has instructed the officials to make proper arrangements for the examination. The concerned universities and technical universities will release a detailed schedule of the dates of these exams. CM Gehlot said the final year examinations of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in universities should be conducted first, and the first and second year students should be provisionally upgraded in the next year. Later, if the circumstances are favorable, examinations of the first and second years of undergraduate courses and first year of postgraduate courses should also be conducted. During the meeting, CM also instructed the officials to ensure the compliance of the health protocols in the context of the corona pandemic during the examinations. He said that the use of masks and sanitisers should be ensured by the candidates and teachers at all examination centers. Also, the rules of social distancing should be strictly adhered during the examination.
