Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Kaziranga National Park get affected by Assam floods

Guwahati (Assam), July 01 (ANI): Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, Kaziranga National Park and Manas National Park are affected due to Assam floods. Floods have hit at least 23 districts of Assam this year. 1 rhino was drowned in the flood at Kaziranga National Park. Speaking on it, state’s Environment and Forest Minister, Parimal Suklabaidya said, “A rhino died yesterday. Wildlife suffers loss every year. But this year, we're trying to put together rescue teams and boats well in advance. I am going to Pobitora and Kaziranga tomorrow. Our teams and officers are working.” According to reports, out of 183 wildlife camps, 70 inundated and 2 evacuated.
