Patna (Bihar), Oct 22 (ANI): Ahead of Bihar elections, BJP released its manifesto on October where they ‘promised’ of giving COVID-19 vaccine free to people of state once available. It brought stir among opposition parties. Bihar BJP In-charge, Bhupender Yadav said, “It is a Bihar Elections manifesto. Centre makes vaccines available at a minimum price, we promised our government in Bihar will make it free of cost. Political parties should be sensitive when it comes to public health. We will fulfil our promise. Every political party goes into the election with a manifesto. Someone talks about employment, someone talks about farm loan waiver, someone talks about pucca houses. Why is the Opposition upset if we are going with a public health issue?” On BJP's vaccine poll promise in its election manifesto, Congress leader Randeep Surjewala said, “In migrant workers crisis, Bihar Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister said they won't let Biharis enter. Prime Minister said vaccine can't possibly be made before a year. 1,000 Biharis died due to COVID. Do central ministers care? They're deriding Biharis.”
