Panchkula girl creates eco-friendly way to celebrate Lohri festival

Panchkula (Haryana), Jan 13 (ANI): A girl from Haryana’s Panchkula came up with a unique eco-friendly way to celebrate festival of Lohri. Tanika has used clarified butter (‘ghee’) and beeswax for this year’s Lohri celebration. The main motive behind creating miniature version of Lohri is to reduce deforestation and pollution. Speaking to ANI, Tanika said, “The idea behind miniature version of Lohri celebration is to reduce deforestation and pollution. People can celebrate tradition in their houses.”
