Jaipur (Rajasthan) August 4 (ANI): Reviewing the food and civil supplies department, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that it is our responsibility to ensure food security of poor and needy sections. He instructed the concerned officials to develop the best PDS system of the country in Rajasthan so that every eligible and needy person can get ration on time and the procurement and distribution of wheat is on time. He said that efforts should be made to make tea, salt and other goods available to the people under the public distribution system of the state. During the meeting, CM Gehlot also said that the benefit of the National Food Security Scheme is being given only on the basis of the 2011 census. Due to this, despite being eligible, a large number of people are not getting the benefits of this scheme. Our effort is to ensure food security for every needy person. In view of this, the Central Government should include the names of deprived eligible persons in the National Food Security Scheme as per the latest population.
