‘Oldest’ sweet factory in Mohali ready for festive treats

Mohali (Punjab), Oct 24 (ANI): ‘Sindhi Sweets’, one of the oldest sweet factories in Mohali, is catching up, in the time of festivals amid COVID-19 pandemic. The factory is operating since 1939. Several safety measures have been taken up by the owner. From thermal scanning, sanitisation, all staff use gloves and head and face mask. Temperature is also maintained according to need.Talking to ANI owner of the Sindhi Sweets, Abhishek Bajaj, said, “In food industry, hygiene is a first thing, before COVID-19 we always followed high standards of cleanliness in our process of manufacturing sweets. After COVID-19, we introduced temperature monitoring and masks, we also scan all products under UV lights for disinfection.”The business of sweets got affected due to COVID-19, but is soon coming back to track.
