NMCG lays emphasis on conservation of wetlands

New Delhi (ANI), Feb 03, 2021 : Three-day long `World Wetlands Day 2021’ concluded in New Delhi. NMCG organised the event to raise awareness about wetland conservation. Due to COVID -19 pandemic, the event was held virtually. Officials from Wildlife Institute of India also joined the session. They deliver viewpoints on wetlands rejuvenation in the country. Earlier, the event witnessed several key aspects associated with Wetlands conservation. The event witnessed a book launch related to Wetlands Guidelines for local stakeholders. NMCG has partnered with stakeholders to help develop plans for Wetlands rejuvenation. Wetlands have a significant influence on the hydrological cycle. It contributes to water flows underground and in rivers. NMCG has been working at an extensive plan to rejuvenate and keep wetlands and river clean.
