Mushroom farming gets boost in J&K’s Poonch with govt’s assistance

Poonch (J&K), Jan 30 (ANI): Locals of Jhalas village in Poonch district took up mushroom farming with the help of Agriculture department’s techniques in a bid to improve their livelihood and inculcate new farming methods. To expand beyond conventional farming method, the Government of India is encouraging the community to adopt new farming techniques. The agriculture department of Poonch also have mushroom production center for the farmers in Jhalas. Mushroom farming is known as one of the most profitable that can be started in less space.
