Srinagar (Jammu), Jan 29 (ANI): Meet Amir Rouf, a specially-abled young athlete from Srinagar who was born deaf and dumb. Amid all odds, Amir studied language and completed his 10th from Dumb School Solina Srinagar and 12th standard Shri Pratap Higher Secondary School, Srinagar. Later, he got admitted to the Auto-CADD course in Government Polytechnic College, Gogji-Bagh in Srinagar. He took part in various sports activities including Taekwondo Championship, cricket, volleyball, chess Deaf and Mute IPL 2014 in Jalandhar (Punjab) among others. After getting trained from Kashmir's famous Ski Resort Gulmarg, Amir represented India in the snow ski championship" Winter Deaflympics" held in Valtellina, Italy in 2019. In the championship, he bagged 30th position.
