Mass COVID awareness campaign launched in Rajasthan

Jaipur (Rajasthan) October 5 (ANI): Mass COVID-19 awareness campaign was recently launched in Rajasthan to restrict the spread. This program will run in the state till 31st October. Under this campaign, the government has targeted to distribute one crore masks to the general public. A mask vending machine was also inaugurated during the programme. As the chief guest at the program, Speaker of the Assembly, Dr CP Joshi said that the beginning of the mass movement against COVID-19 is a contemporary decision of the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The Speaker appreciated the state government for setting up a strong medical infrastructure in the state during the pandemic. He further said that it is impossible to fight this pandemic without the public consciousness and mass movement. While addressing the gathering Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that the government has done commendable work during the COVID crisis. He said that the fatality rate of COVID in the state is below 1.3 percent and the recovery rate is more than 84 percent which is significantly better than the other states.
