Jaipur (Rajasthan) Nov 11 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that our government has shown the courage to adopt the ‘free registration policy’ for lodging FIRs in every police station. This may increase the registration of the complaints, but it does not mean that the crime may have increased in real terms.Addressing the national webinar on 'Duties and Rights for Women and Child Safety and Empowerment,' CM Gehlot said that letter has been written to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to implement the ‘Mandatory FIR Policy’ in all the states. We will soon be writing a letter to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard. He said that Rajasthan will organise a national level seminar to create a nationwide environment for adopting Rajasthan's mandatory FIR policy to provide justice to every victim. The chief minister also said that the protection of women and child rights is a very sensitive issue for the whole country. Especially incidents of female harassment are a matter of concern for all of us. Our government has always ensured effective action at the ground level on such incidents.
