Madurai’s Sathaiyar dam poor maintenance affects farmers, waterways blocked

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Aug 25 (ANI): Due to poor maintenance of Sathaiyar dam in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai district all the waterways coming to dam have been blocked affecting local farmers. Sathaiyar dam is located in Palamedu, a panchayat town in Madurai district. While speaking to ANI, a local farmer Dharani said, “Government should repair this dam as farmers from 15 villages would benefit from it.”
