Madurai celebrates Vaikasi Visakam festival with no devotees amid COVID-19

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), June 05 (ANI): Vaikasi Visakam festival was celebrated in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai on June 04. The celebration took place at Pazhamudircholai Murugan Temple in Madurai. No devotees were allowed at the temple to avoid the spread of COVID-19. Two priests performed rituals of the festival. Vaikasi Visakam occurs when the full Moon coincides with auspicious Vishaka star during the Tamil month of Vaikasi.
