Kottayam (Kerala), July 29 (ANI): Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds lashed Kerala’s Kottayam district on July 29. Heavy showers are expected to continue in various districts of the state for next few days. India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued orange alert (very heavy rain) for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Idukki districts on July 29. IMD has also issued a yellow alert for Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Thrissur districts. While an orange alert has been issued for Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts for tomorrow (July 30).
