Kashmir sees increased demand for dry fish as temperature falls

Srinagar (Jammu) Feb 9 (ANI): Kashmiri delicacy which is traditionally known as ‘Hoggard’ or dry fish is on high demand as the temperature falls in the Valley. These dry fish is part of Kashmir’s age-old traditional cuisine. The locals say that consuming these dried fish keep their bodies warm during harsh season and is believed to be beneficial for back pain, congestion, and other cold-related conditions. These dried fish is consumed during the four months of the winter and spring seasons.
