Karnataka scientist sets up organic terrace garden post COVID

Kalaburagi (Karnataka) 28 (ANI): Vasudev Naik, a scientist from Kalaburagi has set up an organic garden on a terrace in ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK). Realizing the huge demand for organic vegetables, especially in the metropolitan cities in post COVID-19 pandemic, Naik decided to grow fresh organic vegetables. Vasudev hasn’t merely immersed the surroundings in greenery but also uses waste bottles to plant the vegetables. Some of the plants on his terrace include carrot, fenugreek, bitter gourd, cowpea, lemon, pumkin, tulsi, curry leaves, marble vine, brahmi among others. “Many people are facing a lot of health issues, for them this is the best option to stay healthy”, said Vasudev.
