J&K Govt initiates providing quality mushrooms after ease in COVID-19 lockdown

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), June 13 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir government started providing quality mushrooms after ease in lockdown. After easing lockdown, government started different developmental activities including cultivation of mushrooms with aim to provide a quality product with reasonable rates to customers. Director of Department of Agriculture of Kashmir, Dr Altaf Aijaz Andrabi said, “Agriculture department has helped those farmers who couldn’t sell their produce due to lockdown. We have linked them to the market directly.” One of the customers said, “Those who are working here are doing really good. I came here whenever the mushrooms produce. My family loves mushrooms and my friends also demand it.” The mushroom cultivation is going on under the supervision of Integrated Development Mushroom Center of Department of Agriculture.
